How much does an average business video marketing production cost? We get asked that all the time…and well….there’s really no average cost. It doesn’t go by time. A very simple video, only 30 seconds could cost a lot of money if it’s a TV commercial. On the other hand, a 30-second business video will probably be much less. However, will a 30-second business video actually achieve your business objectives? It probably needs to be a little bit longer to become a successful business video marketing production.
Business Objectives and Budgeting
So when you’re talking with your professional video production company, focus more on the business objectives. If you come to them with a budget, that’s going to help them make the most out of your money. For example, do you need one location versus two locations, one camera versus three cameras? How many people do you need to manage those equipment resources? Do you need animation or motion graphics within that video in post production? There’re many different variables that can go into making a video. A $500 video, $5,000 video, or $50,000 video are all very different. They could all be 30 seconds long or a minute long, but the level of investment that goes into that is very, very different.
When making an investment in business video content, be open with your video production company. Let them know the parameters that you’re working with, and challenge them to come back to you with a couple different options. This will help you make the best decisions for your brand, which might be different than another brand making those same decisions.
